ESTABLISHED 1916 IN VILLAVERDE ALTO (MADRID)

Juan Matas Martín arrived in 1916 arrived from Ledrada (Salamanca) to Villaverde Alto (Madrid) with his first load of hams, where he established a small storage and public store in Calle Albino Hernández Lázaro, 14 (Calle del Baile, 3 at that time). Later he opened aa second public store at Calle Albino Hernández Lázaro, 35 (Calle del Barco, 23 at that time).

As of 1922, he already had in Ledrada his own production of the highest quality Iberian hams and cold meats, which gained fame and recognition in Villaverde through his own store and in other establishments along Madrid.

Since 1972, his shop has been located at Calle Calamina 4, in a store totally refurbished in 2000, where the third generation of the Matas family continues to offer first quality hams, cold meats and pork products, giving the best service to every patron who loves good tradition.
