Mantequería Andrés

 Showcasing exclusive gastronomy since 1870.

Mantequería Andrés started life as a grocery shop, as indicated by the municipal licence issued to Alejandro Cos. The shop had several owners before it was purchased by Andrés de las Heras, whose family continue to run it today. Andrés arrived in Madrid at the age of 13, with a wooden suitcase and a great eagerness to work. He worked as a shop assistant at Casa Pérez, before purchasing the shop when his boss died and renaming it Mantequería Andrés. His children now run the prestigious shop, selling all kinds of natural products: organic honey, Cantabrian sobaos, handmade preserves, fresh milk brought down from the mountains near Madrid each day, handmade yoghurt from the Basque Country, oranges from Valencia, chocolate from Villajoyosa, and many more delights.
