FELIPE CONDE’S GUITAR HANDICRAFTS

Felipe Conde’s guitar workshop is one of the oldest and most recognized in the world.

Founded by Domingo Esteso in 1915, it has been in business subsequently under different names: “Widow and Nephews of Domingo Esteso”, “Nephews of Domingo Esteso”, and “Conde Brothers”, and also has had different locations, such as Calle Gravina 7, Calle Felipe V, 2 and their current shop in Calle Arrieta, 4. From the hands of this family of four-generations of guitar handcraftsmen have come out instruments for some of the most important musicians of the 20^th century such as Paco de Lucía, Niño Ricardo, Agustín Pío Barrios “Mangoré”, Regino Sainz de la Maza, Leonard Cohen, Moraíto Chico or the Habichuela family among many others.
